The Mad Cow Project organises small group tours that connect corporate and developing communities. Through observation and conversations in unfamiliar overseas communities, young business professionals are given the opportunity to challenge their thinking and apply their skills and experiences to make a real difference.
We focus on using the assets and resources of the local community. We call this re-imagining because it seeks to find value in forgotten, maligned or disused assets. We also have a strong emphasis on working together. This is why we employ experienced small group mentors to accompany the group as they seek to understand the local community and work out how they might help in ways that a truly wanted and needed.
Our tours facilitate genuine two-way cultural exchange that provides value for all. For those on tour we commit to creating and holding a space for their curiosity, leadership and ideas to shine. For the host communities we commit to travel responsibly, to listen, understand and work alongside them.
